Vietnamese resources

Here are some of the resources I have:

I thought they were different, but they are very similar. Not the same, annoyingly enough, but similar enough. I gave the one on the left to one of the cousins in Vietnam.

The curriculum I am using is produced by Nhà Xuất Bản Giáo Dục Việt Nam but is not available over the internet. You'll have to get someone to buy it for you from Vietnam. I bought 1st grade and 2nd grade materials while I was there.

The main option is at www.tulucmall.com. You'll need to be somewhat comfortable in Vietnamese to find what you need. I found the materials here a bit more difficult for me, since I do not have enough Vietnamese to use/teach from this series. There are 8 books, plus some history books. They are based out of California, USA.

I've also bought books from www.vinabooks.com. They are based in Vietnam, so shipping was expensive(but that was a few years ago) and slow(if you pick surface mail), but the books are cheap. Again, you need to be comfortable in Vietnamese to find what you need.  There are some interesting software, I don't have them yet but will definitely be ordering some.

Now I have found demo software that can be tested. They supposedly follow the national curriculum and have all the variations from the different publishers. It's almost bizarre thinking that that's even possible, given how unstandardized the US curriculum is and no two kids necessarily learns the same information.

Math Software demo for grades 1,2,3,4,5
Demo for Viet Language Learning Software

Demo for Viet class grade 1 - now the files are listed as Learn Vietnamese, but the filenames say Teach Vietnamese. Will have to update this later once I've actually tested it.

Free software for Viet Characters - basically for preschoolers!
Math for grades 6-12 are online here
More free math software:

Software for teachers:
This apparently lets the math teacher generate lessons from the entire repertoire of material from 1-5 grades.
