Vietnamese 1st grade curriculum

During this most recent trip to Vietnam, I bought more books. Some are the language curriculum books for 1st grade. I bought some in Hanoi, then bought some in Saigon.

This is 1st grade text book, part one. There is another set of books which look a lot like these, but with pinkish purple covers. The two sets cover one years worth of material. These are the ones from Saigon, they are much more child friendly with color pictures and lessons broken up into smaller segments.
This is the workbook. It has some matching exercises and some writing.
This is a writing practice book. It has practice pages that correspond with the lessons in the book.
This is a book of stories that goes with the 1st grade curriculum. I'm having some difficulty reading them, I think they're read alouds with some questions to be asked of the students.

Selling Girl Scout Cookies

Since we're going to Vietnam, we're going to miss most of the cookie sales period. We did do some presales, and this booth is to sell off the remainder before we leave.

Daisies at Gumbo Limbo

Cowgirl's daisy troup went to Gumbo Limbo to see a performance by the theatre troupe from Sunflower Creative Arts. Many of the girls in her troup are former Seedlings, so we do a lot of the Sunflower activities

Boca Green Living Festival

We went to this festival in Boca Raton that is all about green living. There were some cool activities and displays from local businesses and organizations, include a fun maze representing the water cycle.

From the animal rescue unit.

A lovely boa to touch.

T-Rexes and math parties

The first time we went to this science museum, they had a dinosaur exhibit with robotic dinosaurs. That night,  she was talking in her sleep and said "That's a T-Rex!" I never found out what her dream was about, but she now has a fondness for T-Rexes, probably from watching Dinosaur Train.

Our lesson today in RightStart math required a math party, with 10 friends. Since we normally don't have 10 kids floating around, we had 10 soft friends fill in. It seems not all are paying attention.
